2. WHAT DO WOMEN WANT? (Sept. 2002)
Everyone asks, nobody's got the answer, I've got the answer. Freud
that big know-it-all didn't have the answer. "What does a woman want?" Men, for
millions of years, have asked it, bewildered. Women stamp their feet. Great
minds have decided: We cannot know. Well, I know. After a near-futile
half-century of life which ridiculously ended with my actually getting married
(for a time), and a half-century of thought on the subject, I got it. Because I
have tried it out on a number of women and they have uniformly agreed I got it.
And they were startled that I did. Let me add this, that what I am going to say
applies to only 98% of the world's women. I have answered the question
"What do men want?" also and my answer there has met some resistance. And what
is my first answer? Drum-roll, please. For the exquisite music of truth, simply
presented. I have turned to woman after woman and spoken these simple words: "A
woman wants to be emotionally warmed and supported by a good man, who is also
good in bed."...Mm. Their intended denial softens to a silent smile, then softly
spoken agreement. What I said is true, and all know it. And men? "A man wants to
make love to an endless succession of young beauties." I have been surprised by
the angry resistance from men and women to this second truth.
Answered. Now. Can we cure cancer?
